Production Supervisor Needed - Compensation: DOE in Galena Park, Texas

Production Supervisor Needed
Primary Duties:
-Attend and facilitate weekly safety meetings
-Assist with monthly safety inspection as directed, including doing a facility walk through and preparing a monthly report.
-Ensure strict compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Train, develope, and supervise production personnel to achieve the highest level of quality and customer service for both internal and external customers.
-Assits with employee evaluations
-Know the starus of work in progress and coordinate production schedule with production manager
-Identify and anticipate production bottlenecks and take necessary action to minimizr production delays.
-Ensure frequent and accurate communication among production, sales , quality control, and other personnel.
-Organize and oversee completion o fproduction docuementation to ensure timely and accurate completion of each order.
-Ensure compliance with the plate processing quality control program.
-Communicate and enforce all compnay policies and procedures
-Operate and supervise operations of oxy fuel , plasma, and roll machines
-Oversee all processes, including, beveling, grinding, tacking, etc. and continually assist employees in improving his/jer skills.
-Prepare material and participate in inventory counts and stock checks
-Maintain a safe, neat, and organized work area.
-Identify production errors and their root cause, report errors to Production Manager/Quality Control
-Assist with hiring of production personnel as requested.
- Other responsbilities and duties as directed by management and as needed.
Skills:
Strong product and industry knowledge ( carbon steel plate, burning, rolling, and beveling)
Experienced operator of oxy fuel and plasma burning machiens , rolling machines, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
Ability to demostrate leadership and develop programs to enhance skill level of employees.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to multitask effectively based upon priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
